About the Eligible Training Provider List Online System

The Washington State Eligible Training Provider List Online System is the official list of training programs, located in Washington State, eligible to provide training to individuals who qualify for:

1. An Individual Training Account voucher funded by Title I-B of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA); or
2. Additional weeks of unemployment insurance benefits through the Washington State Training Benefits Program; or

3. Trade Adjustment Assistance.

Training providers, with training locations in Washington State, may also use this system to apply to add their training programs to the Eligible Training Provider List, or to update the information displayed for currently-listed programs.

Washington State does not list training providers located out-of-state. The State considers out-of-state training programs as eligible if they are on the ETP List in the state in which they are located. Go to CareerOneStop.org to search another state's ETP List.

Searching by Geographic Region
This option takes you to a map of Washington State that is divided into regions called Workforce Development Areas. Also displayed are maps of Idaho and Oregon which link to the Eligible Training Provider lists for those states. To see which counties are located within each Workforce Development Area, move your mouse over the map and a list of counties in that area will appear.

To select the geographic region, either click on a location on the map or choose from the drop-down list of Workforce Development Areas below the map. You can then search either by training provider or by training program. For training program search hints, see “Searching by Training Program” below.

Searching by Training Provider
Choose a training provider from the drop down list that will display all schools with training programs on the Eligible Training Provider List. Next, choose a program from the list of all eligible training programs that the school offers. For program search hints, see “Searching by Training Program” below. When you select a program, detailed program information will be displayed. To find out about another program offered at the chosen school, hit your browser’s “Back” button to return to the list of programs and choose a different program.

Searching by Training Program
When searching for a program of training, you can either:

  1. type in a keyword to narrow your search to programs you are interested in, or,
  2. choose from a list of training program categories.

Keywords can be a job title, a career or an area of study you are interested in. Keywords can be all or part of a program title and they are not case-sensitive. For example, to locate programs that train nurses, try typing “NURS” into the Keyword box. This should bring up all programs with the word “Nurse” or “Nursing” in the title. When you enter a keyword and then press “List Programs Matching This Keyword”, the list below will contain a list of programs related to the keyword. If you do not enter a keyword, the list of programs will include all eligible training programs. Choose a program title from this list to see the detailed program information.

To find out about another program offered at the chosen school, hit your browser’s “Back” button to return to the list of programs and choose a different program.

Searching by Training Program and Geographic Region
If you are searching for a training program, after you choose a program you are interested in, you can narrow your search to a specific geographic region. To see which counties are located within each Workforce Development Area, move your mouse over the map and a list of counties in that area will appear.
