Evaluation of Industry Skill Panels

The Workforce Board has released a report that offers a way of evaluating future Skill Panels. The study encompassed four model Skill Panels.

1. Manufacturing (Spokane Workforce Development Area)
2. Power Generation (Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Area)
3. Healthcare (Pierce County)
4. Marine Manufacturing (Northwest Washington Workforce Development Area)

The report proposes a "Dashboard of Indicators" against which future skill panels can describe their achievements. Examples of measures include: reduced job vacancy rates, employer satisfaction, worker earning levels, credential completion rate and amount of new and leveraged funding.
