Firm awarded Skills Panel contract

The Corporation for a Skilled Workforce, of Ann Arbor, Mich., partnering with The PAROS Group, of Washington, D.C., has been awarded a contract to evaluate the results of Skill Panels in Washington state.

Industry skill panels are public/private partnerships of business, labor and education - alliances working together to improve the skills of workers in industries vital to Washington's economy. There are currently 15 active skill panels in Washington that receive funding from the Workforce Board.

The contractor will also provide technical assistance to the board by developing data collection and evaluation plans for future use. The winning bid was one of five proposals submitted in response to a request for proposals issued by the Workforce Board in February. Work began on April 3 and will be completed by June 30, 2008. The contract amount is $84,950.
