Dropout - On Time Graduation Rates
The number of Washington State high school students who do not complete high school on-time is still high.
- The Office of Superintendent of Public Instructions estimates that only 70 percent of the Class of 2004 graduated on time.
Washington’s lowest on-time graduation rates can be found among the state’s students of color.
- For African Americans and Hispanics, it is 54 percent, and Native Americans, 47 percent, compared to 74 percent for whites and 78 percent for Asian Americans.
