Workforce System Review Consensus Recommendations to Vice President Joe Biden

During the January 2014 State of the Union address, President Obama called for a comprehensive review of all federally funded employment and training programs. The review, conducted by Vice President Biden, identified ways to make the nation's workforce development system more job-driven, integrated and efficient, focusing on evidence-based best practices and identifying barriers to effectiveness.

The "Ready to Work: Job-Driven Training and American Opportunity" report was issued in July --NEW!

The final report mentions Washington state several times, most notably for the state's performance measurement system that evaluates a wide range of workforce programs.
