Alpine College in the Spokane Valley has closed. The school, which provided training in a variety of health care, business, legal and IT-related occupations, is located at 10020 E. Knox Ave., Spokane Valley.
An estimated 160 students have been affected by the closure. The Workforce Board is responsible for licensing private career schools. Staff are looking into the abrupt closure, which reportedly occurred on Friday, May 20.

Alpine offered a variety of training programs, including:
- Medical administrative assistant
- Medical assistant
- Surgical technologist
- Business accounting and administration
- Legal administrative assistant
- Fiber optic and data cabling technician
- Medical assistant specialist
